Provider’s Independency

Ideally, an LMS provider’s technologies should meet an organization’s expectations. But, what happens when this is not the case? We can be satisfied with the technology, but not necessarily with the provider.

With teaching and learning technology, we may find multiple standards guaranteeing interoperability and integration among manufacturers, technologies and solutions. Due to its open and inclusive nature, open source technology leads these initiatives and actively participates in their definition and implementation. Moodle and Moodlerooms integrate most of the content standards, activity records, and data exchanges within the industry.

How does it work?

Moodlerooms operates under the Software-as-a-Service modality, which is a service where the provider (Moodlerooms) takes responsibility for:

Moodlerooms is responsible for making everything work according to the client’s expectations. The Moodlerooms’ Service Level Agreements (SLA) guarantee clients.

Why Moodlerooms offers more than other SaaS providers?

The Moodlerooms SaaS modality uses large-scale technologies such as cloud computing, and very high operating and security standards in order to comply with those availability levels and features. Moodlerooms also relies on a dedicated, certified staff that specializes in managing, operating, maintaining, and supporting the platform (global support in different languages).

In addition, SaaS providers generally have some kind of accreditation or service certification relationship with the software manufacturers. In this case, Moodlerooms, apart from being the open source division largest Moodle Partner, is supported by the cloud infrastructure of Amazon Web Services (AWS), as well as Blackboard’s datacenters around the world.

The Hosting service of the platform will rely on the size and geographic location of each client.

On the other side, the Moodlerooms’ team has incident documentation allowing classification by emergency category; then, the client is informed on an approximate response time. Beyond representing Moodlerooms’ reliability and experience as a provider, this results in agility and efficacy of processes in favor of the client. Besides, the global team in all regions of the world provides support to clients’ requirements in different levels and via different communication channels.

Platform support can be provided in three ways:

  • Administrator support: site administrators can log in to the Moodlerooms support portal to submit support tickets anytime, anywhere.
  • End-user support: when end-users need support, they can check out video tutorials and documentation provided by Moodlerooms. If the end-user has any questions that require additional resources, they can contact the institution’s site administrator to receive a support ticket.
  • Community support: with more than 70 million users worldwide, Moodlerooms’ users can find answers from support forums, where solutions to problems faced by the community are generally provided.

Services and Benefits

  • Dedicated Client Engagement Team: a dedicated team listening and watching over clients’ interests, as well as clarifying doubts and taking clients throughout the entire execution process. In addition, the team renders consulting services on the best solutions depending on the type of organization.
